"GIANT SAGUARO"
(Carnegiea Gigantea)
The giant Saguaro is a symbol of the Senora desert. They can reach heights of 50 feet and weigh as much as 12 tons. Just the shear size of a Saguaro cactus can be overwhelming.
Seeing them in bloom during the Spring season is amazing. White creamy flowers blossom in clusters at the end of their mighty arms. It makes you stop and stare up at them. They're high above you, like white stars you can not touch. It's an amazing sight. |
