The original name of this quaint church is Mission Santa Cruz, but now they call it Little White Dove.
This precious little treasure I found by pure accident while driving around my own area, through a small town called Laveen, ending up on the Indian reservation. When I found it years ago, it was isolated with a small grave site and fenced in with an old deteriorating iron fence. It had something mystical and I could not get enough sketches, pastel drawings and pictures to capture that feeling, but I hope I brought it back in my painting.
The mission as you see it, was built in the late 1800.
